My girlfriend asked me a question the other day which got me thinking... She asked "why do baseball players make so much money, while other professions that are very well respected get paid so little"? I sat back and thought about that for a second and then the obvious answer was that ball players bring in a lot of revenue to their owners so it's only natural that they share in the piece of the pie.
