Qualified vehicles purchased on or after 1st of January, 2006, will be entitled for a tax credit ranging from $400 to $3,400 based on its fuel saving. The hybrid car tax credit is a combination of two different tax credits. The math in this computation is very complicated, and luckily you won't have to do it. The auto manufacturers and the IRS will be responsible to certify the tax credit amount.
