Any red-blooded American presidential candidate, especially one who purports to have a superior grasp of the economy, should be spring-loaded to jump into the current economic crisis and show leadership to effect a solution. Obama's response has been limp, to say the least. Leadership requires a grasp of the situation, an ability to synthesize numerous viewpoints, and an ability to rally others toward a solution.
